I present to you Huéhuecoyōtl, the auspicious Pre-Columbian God of music, dance, mischief, and song. A benign prankster whose tricks are often played on the other Gods. Known to the ancient Aztec as the "Very Old Coyote", these days we just call him El Hefe.

Often referred to as the "Talent" in NOFX, El Hefe would fit comfortably on the Mount Rushmore of Punk Rock Guitar Players. I tried to convey that majestic quality in this portrait of him amongst the skyscrapers of the Los Angeles skyline.

This painting was done for the cover of his first solo release, White Label. A song recorded for a television pilot episode about rival marijuana dispensaries. The pilot was shelved and never went into production but the song was too good to stay buried and is now available as a single through CyberTracks Records.

Original 20x20 Acrylic on Canvas painting.
